Anderson & Rohrer sweep RMAC Player of the Week honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (February 6, 2017) – The Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference announced Monday that Colorado State University-Pueblo Women's Basketball student-athletes Tuileisu Anderson and Molly Rohrer earned RMAC Player of the Week Awards. Anderson snagged RMAC Offensive Player of the Week while Rohrer received RMAC Defensive Player of the Week.

Both Anderson and Rohrer wrote their names in the Pack record books Friday night. Anderson scored 50 points this weekend for the Pack to become the 14th 1,000 point scorer in CSU-Pueblo history. Anderson averaged 25.0 ppg as the Pack ran through Adams State University and Fort Lewis College to reach 23-0. The junior made 47.2 percent from the field (17-of-36), 36.0 percent (9-of-25) from downtown, and 87.5 percent (7-of-8) from the line. Anderson also averaged 5.5 rpg, 1.5 apg, and 1.5 steals per game.

In the Pack's win over the Grizzlies, Anderson scored 24 points to join CSU-Pueblo's 1,000 points club. She also made 5-of-10 from downtown as the Pack won 70-42. Anderson led the Pack past the Skyhawks 66-50 Saturday. She scored a game-high 26 points, sank four more 3-pointers and came away with two steals. Anderson now ranks 12th in Pack history with 1,028 points.

Rohrer set the CSU-Pueblo record blocks in a game with eight rejections against Adams State. She also scored 12 points and pulled down seven rebounds. Rohrer followed this performance by swatting two Skyhawk shots. She again scored 12 points as the Pack beat Fort Lewis.

For Anderson this is her third RMAC Offensive Player of the Week of 2016.  Her three RMAC Player of the Week honors ranks second in the conference. She now has six RMAC Player of the Week awards in her career, four Offensive Player of the Weeks and two Defensive Player of the Weeks.

Rohrer leads the RMAC with six RMAC Player of the Week awards this season alone. The Pack's Center has two Offensive Player of the Week Awards and Four Defensive Player of the Weeks. She now has eight for her career, six of which have been Defensive Player of the Week.

Between Anderson, Rohrer, and Katie Cunningham (Jr., Aurora, Colo.) the Pack has earned 11 RMAC Player of the Week honors in 2016-17. The rest of the conference has combined for 13.

Anderson and Rohrer will lead the Pack into battle Tuesday night when they host New Mexico Highlands University at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday's game will also be Honor Roll Night where the CSU-Pueblo Athletics Department will recognize all student-athletes who achieved a 3.0 GPA or higher.

Tuesday's game will also be Faculty & Staff Appreciation Night. All CSU-Pueblo faculty, staff, and university employees will receive free admission to Tuesday's game.
