PUEBLO, Colo. (October 16, 2017) – After setting virtually every school record in 2016-17, Colorado State University-Pueblo Women's Basketball will officially start practice for the 2017-18 season today, Monday Oct.16 at 5:30 p.m. at Massari Arena.
Practices will be open to the public. Fans can come watch new Pack Head Coach Curtis Loyd lead practices as he begins his tenure with the Pack.
The ThunderWolves went 28-4 in 2016-17 as they rolled to their first Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Regular Season Championship since 1988. The 28 victories set a new program record as did the Pack's20 RMAC wins.
Molly Rohrer (Jr., Greenwood Village, Colo.) earned RMAC Player of the Year honors. Katie Cunningham earned RMAC Defensive Player of the Year. Rohrer and Cunningham are both back as is the rest of the Pack's starting lineup from their 2016-17 RMAC Championship team.
The Pack will open their regular season at the South Central Region Challenge in Commerce, Texas, Nov. 10-11. CSU-Pueblo will host its home opener Nov. 17 when they face Northern State University at 5 p.m. as part of the 34th annual Al-Kaly Shrine Classic.
