Arguably the top women's basketball player in CSU-Pueblo history, Rachel Espinoza is entering her second season as an assistant coach with the ThunderWolves.
As a coach, she helped guide the ThunderWolves to their best regular season record in school history in 2012 (21-5) and its first ever at-large bid to the NCAA Division II National Tournament.
Espinoza enjoyed a successful playing career with the Pack, finishing second on the ThunderWolves' all-time scoring charts with 1,482 points, second in assists with 388 assists, and second in steals with 224.
Her biggest crowning achievement was the ThunderWolves' success as a team, having her hand in three RMAC Championship squads in 2008, 2009 and 2010, earning RMAC Shootout MVP honors as a sophomore in 2009.
Espinoza, a Pueblo-native and graduate of Pueblo Central High School, resides in Pueblo.
