Madrid finishes strong, leads Pack at RMAC Championships

Pack finishes 10th at RMAC Championship

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Pack senior Nicole Madrid shot some of the best golf of her career, turning in an 83 Sunday as she finished in 12th place, leading all ThunderWolf golfers at the RMAC Championships in Albuquerque.

Madrid improved her already impressive round one performance, shooting an 84 Saturday.  Her 83 Sunday was the 11th best second round mark of the 54 golfers in the field.

Madrid's mark led a ThunderWolves team that saw its fair share of struggles in the tournament.  Three Pack golfers turned in rounds of 100 strokes or higher, but freshman Jordan Dew continued her improvement with one of her best rounds of the year.  Dew shot an impressive 87 Sunday, 11 strokes better than the 98 she turned in Saturday, enabling her rise 32nd place overall.
