Madrid comes back to finish 12th at Kearney Tourney
KEARNEY, Neb. - CSU-Pueblo senior Nicole Madrid made a huge
rebound in the second round of the Rocky Mountain Athletic
Conference Invitational, held in Kearney Monday and Tuesday,
posting one of the tourney's best second round scores, a +10 71, to
finish in 12th place with an overall score of +20.
Madrid's second round 81 was eighth best in the 52 golfer field. On
the first day, Madrid shot a 91, which put her near the middle of
the field after the first day.
Madrid was the best score from CSU-Pueblo's eighth place team
finish at the tournament, 107 strokes behind tourney winner,
Western New Mexico.
Rounding out the Pack's top finishers were Michelle Lujan (34th,
+50), Crystal Samples (44th, +60), Jordan Dew (43rd, +63), and
Jamie Patrick (47th, +66).
