Pack women fall off in 2nd round of Grand Canyon Invite
GOODYEAR, Ariz. - The ThunderWolves' women's golfers suffered a
setback during the second round of the Grand Canyon Invitational,
shooting a +82 370 as a team to fall through the cracks and finish
in 16th place.
After the first day, the Pack was tied for 14th as a team alongside
rival Adams State. While Adams improved their second round score by
nearly 20 strokes, the ThunderWolves lagged.
Florida Southern won the invite, boasting a +11 587. The top
finisher among Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference teams was Western
New Mexico, the current overall conference leader, which finished
in third with a +34 610.
The Pack's top finisher was Nicole Madrid, who shot a +26 170, good
enough for 61st place. The Pack was also represented by Crystal
Samples, Jordan Dew, Callie Young, and Michelle Lujan
