Pack women lag behind at RMAC Championships

Results: RMAC Women's Golf Championship Results (Courtest of Western New Mexico University)
PHOENIX, Ariz. - CSU-Pueblo missed an opportunity to sneak into regionals Sunday as the ThunderWolves finished last in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships, held in Phoenix, Ariz.
The ThunderWolves finished 13th at the championships, as all five ThunderWolf golfers finished in the bottom 15 in the 65-member field.
Consistency was an issue as three of the Pack golfers took 10-stroke swings from the first round to the second round. The team was led by Kendall Gonzales (Fr., Salida, Colo.), who shot a 96 in the first round before dropping 11 strokes for her second round score. She joined with Kelly Meldrum (Fr., Gunnison, Colo.), who turned in identical scores, but saved her 96 for the second round after shooting a 107 in the first round.
CSU-Pueblo's season ends with the RMAC Tournament, as the team nor any individuals qualified for regionals.
