Pack's Chapman turns in another top five finish

LAKEWOOD, Colo. - At the third RMAC tournament of the women's golf season, held at Colorado Christian University, freshman Meagan Chapman (Fr., Pueblo, Colo.) finished in the top five for the second consecutive RMAC event, placing third.

Monday, Chapman turned in a sub-80 round, shooting a stellar +8 79, ending the first round of play alone in second place in the 53-golfer field.  She put up an 82 in the second round, finishing four strokes behind Mesa State's Jennifer Hilts, the tourney champion.

As a team, the ThunderWolves were 8th out of 10 teams.

The rest of the Pack's field languished far behind Chapman, as all but one lost strokes from the first round to the second round.  The Pack's second-leading scorer, Kelly Meldrum (Fr., Gunnison, Colo.), finished the tourney in 30th place after posting an impressive 84 just one day removed from her first round 95.

The third RMAC tournament marks the final fall tournament for the women's golf season.
