Dinallo shines in record-setting day for Pack
Pack finishes 10 strokes out of first place on home course.
PUEBLO WEST, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Mar. 27, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo made a run for the ThunderWolf Invitational championship Sunday, shooting a school-record 327 in the second round, finishing third overall.
The Pack was led by Domi Dinallo (Fr., Elephant Butte, N.M.) turned in the second-lowest individual round in school history, shooting a 77 as she moved all the way to third overall, finishing just four strokes out of first place finisher, Melissa Saken, from Montana State-Billings.
She was joined by two teammates in the top ten, including Michaela Breit (Fr., Greeley, Colo.) who finished sixth after shooting an 84 Sunday, and Trisha Vinci (Fr., Rye, Colo.), who finished eighth overall.
The Pack's 327 in the second-round tied a school record, set earlier this season at the first RMAC tournament of the season in Silver City, N.M. However, the Pack was still 10 strokes behind tournament champion, Mesa State.
The tournament was also headlined by a hole-in-one by Colorado Christian's Alyssa Osterback on the fifth hole of the course at the Desert Hawk Golf Course in Pueblo West.
The Pack will try to build off this performance as it heads to the Augustana Invitational in South Dakota April 8.
