Pack climbs to 8th at Augustana Invite
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (GoThunderWolves.com - Apr. 10, 2011) - The ThunderWolves improved their standing in the second and final round of the Augustana Invitational Sunday, shooting a team 342 and climbing to 8th place.
CSU-Pueblo, which shot a 343 in the first round Saturday, led by a trio of 85s but its top three golfers, Michaela Breit (Fr., Greeley, Colo.), Domi Dinallo (Fr., Elephant Butte, N.M.) and Trisha Vinci (Fr., Rye, Colo.), maintained its performance while nearly the entire field struggled in relation to their first round totals.
Breit shot an 83 in the second round to lead the ThunderWolves while four other Pack golfers shot in the 80s for a second consecutive round. The Pack's totals allowed them to climb past Dakota Wesleyan into 8th place, plus maintain its lead against the other two RMAC teams at the tournament, Chadron State and Nebraska-Kearney.
The Pack will next hit the links next week at the 2010-11 RMAC Championships.
