PUEBLO, Colo. (April 21, 2018) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's golf team travels to the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Tournament April 22-24 at the Ocotillo Golf Resort in Chandler, Arizona. The course will play 5,969 yards and as a par 72. There will be three rounds with 18 holes played each day for the 54-hole tournament. The RMAC Champion will gain an automatic bid to the NCAA regional.
The ThunderWolves rank No. 44 in the GolfStat NCAA Division II team rankings. The Pack are coming off a ninth place finish in Arizona at the Western New Mexico University Mustang Intercollegiate. The Pack shot an eight-over 296 on day two, but a 306 (+18) in the first round CSU-Pueblo in a spot where they could only move up two places.
The Pack lineup will consist of Courtney Ewing (Jr., Pueblo West, Colo.), Rachanok Rahulpan (Jr., Pathumthani, Thailand), Orakorn Thirayatorn (Jr., Meang Khonkaen, Thailand), Jolene Kam (Jr., Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia) and Kellsey Sample (Fr., Monument, Colo.).
Ewing owns a 74.75 stroke average this season to rank No. 25 this season in NCAA Division II. She was named RMAC Player of the Week on four occasions during the season, while Rahulpan gathered the award once.
Ewing and Kam return from last season's squad who finished 2nd after being first after 18 holes of the 36-hole tournament. Kam earned medalist honors as she finished tied for fifth. She shot a consistent 77-76--153 to finish nine-over. Ewing carded a 78-83--161 (+17) to finish T-15th.
