GOODYEAR, Ariz. (September 24, 2018) – Colorado State University-Pueblo Women's Golf finished day one of the Mustang Intercollegiate in fourth place at the Estrella Golf Course. Jolene Kam ranks fifth after day one.
The Pack collectively shot a +11 (299). This was their best round as a team at the Estrella Golf Course. The ThunderWolves lead all Rocky Mountain Athletic schools by six strokes.
Jolene Kam (Sr., Shah Alam Selangor Malaysia) shot an even par 72 to rank fifth after round one. Kam sits just one stroke back of the lead. The 72 was Kam's best round her college career. She holds a two-stroke lead on all RMAC golfers at the tournament entering day two tomorrow. Kam was -2 over her last eight holes.
Rachanok Rahulpan (Sr., Pathumthani, Thailand) wrapped up day one with a +2 (74). Rahulpan earned a share of 16th place on day one. The 74 was Rahulpan's best round of the season. Rahulpan led the field with a -2 scoring average on par fours.
Senior Courtney Ewing (Pueblo West, Colo.) carded a +3 (75) on day one. Ewing stands 19th in the tournament. She finished day one with six straight pars.
Orakorn Thirayatorn (Sr., Meang Khonkaen, Thailand) and Amy Sutheran (Fr., Hartlepool , Durham, England, UK) each shot a +6 (78). They share 48th place overall. After early struggles, Thirayatorn bounced back from some early struggles, going even par on her last 13 holes.
