Josh Hartman is in his third year serving as the head
women's golf coach at Colorado State University - Pueblo. He is
CSU-Pueblo's first-ever women's golf coach as the ThunderWolves
started competing as a varsity intercollegiate program in the Fall
of 2005.
As a three-sport standout at Dakota Wesleyan University in
Mitchell, S.D., Hartman was a two-year scholarship member of the
golf team where he was named the team's Player of the Year in 2003.
He was a two-time All-Great Plains Conference honorable mention
selection in 2002 and 2003. He also earned the "Tiger Award" at
Wesleyan for his academic success.
Hartman, who is originally from Trinidad, Colo., began his athletic
career at Dakota Wesleyan competing in both basketball and baseball
his freshman and sophomore seasons. He dropped basketball after his
second year and joined the golf team as a junior.
On the baseball diamond, Hartman was twice named All-Great Plains
Conference honorable mention as a junior and senior. As a sophomore
he named the team's Most Improved Player and Hustle Award
recipient.
He was a member of the Dakota Wesleyan Dean's list and was listed
in the Who's Who Among American Universities and Colleges. He
graduated in 2004 with a bachelor of arts degree in physical
education and K-12 education.
Hartman currently serves as a physical education teacher at Pueblo
West Elementary School.
