PUEBLO, Colo. (December 2, 2016) Colorado State University – Pueblo Women's Lacrosse is holding a toy drive to benefit the victims of the recent Gatlinburg, Tennessee fires. "We have all been affected by wildfires here in Colorado ," CSU-Pueblo Women's Lacrosse Coach Monica Potter said. "With Christmas around the corner it was a no brainer to try and help."

The wildfire, that continues to burn near Gatlinburg , has claimed the lives of 13 people and damaged 1,000 buildings, according to the associated press. More than 14,000 people have been forced to evacuate their homes due to this fire, according to Fox News.

"These families have enough  to worry about at this time," Potter said. "Gifts for their kids shouldn't cause them stress."

Toys for children all of ages will be accepted and donated through Toys for Tots to the children in Gatinburg. Pack Women's Lacrosse will be accepting donations until Friday Dec. 9.
