Careys impress at ASICS Greco Roman Championships

AKRON, OHIO - Two ThunderWolves reported strong showings at the ASICS University Greco Roman National Championships in Akron, Ohio this week, as Patrick Carey (Jr., Tempe, Ariz.) was the 211-pound runner-up while Adam Carey (RFr., Phoenix, Ariz.) finished third at 174 pounds.
Patrick Carey went 3-1 at 211.5 pounds, his only loss coming in the title match to United State Marine Corps wrester, Charles Fish.
Adam Carey went 4-1, winning the consolation title at 174 pounds and taking home third place by defeated United States Air Force Academy's Joseph Stafford. His only loss was to Division I wrestler, Bryant Craft, out of Michigan State.
The duo also competed at the ASICS Freestyle Championships in Akron, as well.
