EDMOND, Okla. (GoThunderWolves.com - Oct. 21, 2010) - CSU-Pueblo is garnering some preseason respect in the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches' Association preseason poll, released Thursday.  The ThunderWolves one of three teams in the "receiving votes" section of the poll, which officially ranks the top 20 Division II teams in the nation.

CSU-Pueblo, which sent three wrestlers to nationals last season and saw two finish a win shy of All-American status (Patrick Carey (Sr., Tempe, Ariz.) and Justin Grant (Sr., Winnemucca, Nev.), only lost three seniors to graduation last year, and adds a crop of talented freshmen to the mix in 2010-11.  Carey and Grant also return for a national title run in 2010-11.

The news of the Pack's ranking overshadows its preseason ranking of 7th in the RMAC, which weighs in as one of if not the toughest wrestling conference in all of Division II.  Each of the six teams ranked ahead of the ThunderWolves in the RMAC's preseason poll garnered a ranking in the top 20 in the national poll.
