Pack drops RMAC dual to Mines
Despite exciting brother-on-brother matchup, ThunderWolves fall short.
GOLDEN, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Jan. 28, 2011) - Friday, it was brother against brother. Literally.
But much like the South in the Civil War, CSU-Pueblo was on the losing end, dropping its fifth RMAC dual of the season 20-13 to Colorado School of Mines.
The highlight of Friday's dual was the 149-pound matchup between brothers Jesse Snider from Colorado School of Mines, a senior on the Orediggers, and Pack freshman Jacob Snider (Fr., Parker, Colo.). But experience won out, as the elder Snider claimed a 12-5 decision and helped serve as a microcosm of the night for the Pack.
The Pack mustered four wins, the most impressive of which coming by Saul Guerrero (Jr., Fort Lupton, Colo.) at 141 pounds, who had an 11-1 major decision win over Cooper Newby.
CSU-Pueblo will remain in Golden, taking part on the Colorado Mines Open, which takes place Saturday.
