Pack is again stellar in 24-19 win

CSU-Pueblo closes RMAC dual schedule with a bang.

CHADRON, Neb. (GoThunderWolves.com - Feb. 12, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo rattled off its second straight RMAC win Saturday, claiming a 24-19 dual victory over Chadron State as the ThunderWolves closed its RMAC dual slate.

CSU-Pueblo wrestled strong in nearly every match, either claiming a dominant win or losing a close decision in nine of the ten matches.

Matt Addington (Fr., Florence, Colo.) and Justin Grant (Sr., Winnemucca, Nev.) each ran their weekend record to 2-0 with wins.  Addington was dominant in claiming a 12-4 major decision over Mikah Kadera, and Grant scored an 8-2 decision over Briston Benton.

Perhaps the biggest wins came from freshmen, as Joe Giron (RFr., Arvada, Colo.) scored a first-period pin of Jordan Debus just 1:38 into the match, giving the Pack a big six-point win.  Jacob Snider (Fr., Parker, Colo.) also had a big win in his only action of the weekend, taking a 16-1 technical fall over Phillip Bullington.

CSU-Pueblo will build on the good results as it looks forward to the big event of the season, the RMAC Championships/Super Region 4 Championships, which will take place in San Francisco, Calif. on Feb. 26-27.
