EDMOND, Okla. (GoThunderWolves.com - Jan. 25, 2012) - CSU-Pueblo dropped out of the NCAA Division II Wrestling Coaches' Association Top 20 Wednesday, falling into the "receiving votes" category, but saw 184-pounder Adam Carey (Jr., Phoenix, Ariz.) enter the top 8 nationally, weighing in at 7th.

Carey, who currently holds an 11-3 record so far this season, started this season winning his first seven dual matches before the second-ranked wrestler in the nation, Central Oklahoma's Tanner Keck, ended that streak.

He is joined by teammate Jesse Hillhouse (Jr., Casper, Wyo.) in the rankings.  Hillhouse remained at his previous spot of sixth in the nation at 133 pounds.  He is currently 22-5 so far this season.

Hillhouse, Carey and the rest of the ThunderWolves have the monumental task of hosting the fifth-ranked team in the nation, Nebraska-Kearney, in an RMAC dual at Massari Arena Thursday night.
