Grant, Schmueser headline Academic All-RMAC nods

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. ( - April 1, 2013) - CSU-Pueblo sent three wrestlers to the RMAC's All-Academic wrestling squad, including national qualifier Trevor Grant (Jr., Winnemucca, Nev.) and sophomore Larry Schmueser (So., Rifle, Colo.).

Grant and Schmuser each earned first-team honors after successful seasons in which they were among the Pack's starting 10.  Earning second-team honors were Ryan Kirby (Sr., Byers, Colo.).

Grant finished the 2012-13 season with a 22-20 record as the ThunderWolves' starting 174-pounder.  For the second straight season, Grant finished the season in the top four at the Super Regional Championships, earning a berth to the national championships.  

Schmueser fought his way into the lineup to emerge as the Pack's top 149-pounder last season.  He would go 10-13 in 2012-13 and represent the ThunderWolves at 149 pounds at the Super Regional Championships.
