PUEBLO, Colo. (November 14, 2014) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo wrestling team used two early falls to aid it to a 21-20 home dual victory Friday versus Western Wyoming Community College at Pueblo County High School.
The ThunderWolves won their first dual of 2014-15, which started a 165, thanks to sophomore Anthony Ball (Vista, Calif.) and senior Riley Argyle (Jerome, Idaho) registering pins at 184 and 197, respectfully. Ball posted a fall at 5:17, while Argyle got the pin in the first period at 2:26. After getting out of position and being taken down, which resulted in a three-point near fall, early in the period, Argyle battled and earn the win.
A senior Niko Bogojevic (Superior, Wis.) 7-3 decision at heavyweight moved the team score to 18-3 in favor of the Pack through five matches. The Mustangs battled back to an 18-17 deficit with just two matches remaining, but senior Dillon Karajanis (Cheyenne, Wyo.) earned a decisive 6-0 decision that moved the score to 21-17 to be enough for the team victory.
Next the Pack will travel to Greeley, Colo. Saturday for the Northern Colorado University Open.
