Pack wrestling to compete at Western Wyoming

PUEBLO, Colo. (December 12, 2014) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo wrestling team will wrap up the 2014 calendar year Saturday, on the road at Western Wyoming Community College in a rematch dual with the Mustangs, set to begin at 1 p.m. at Rushmore Gymnasium.

The Pack are coming off a solid showing at the Bob Smith Open in Hays, Kansas last weekend.

Tim Urenda (Jr., Pueblo, Colo.) led the ThunderWolves, winning at 141, with four straight wins. The victory by Urenda was the first for a CSU-Pueblo wrestler at the FHSU Open since reinstating the program in 2008.

CSU-Pueblo played host to the same Mustangs squad a month ago, using two early falls to aid in the 21-20 victory held at Pueblo County High School.

Pins by Anthony Ball (184, Vista, Calif.) and Riley Argyle (197, Jerome, Idaho) helped to guide the ThunderWolves over the Mustangs in the first home dual of the season.

Fans that cannot attend the dual can follow for live updates.

As a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Colorado State University – Pueblo competes in 22 varsity sports in NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics.
