Pack wrestling returns to the mat Saturday at Tracy Borah Duals

PUEBLO, Colo. (January 9, 2015) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo wrestling team returns to the mat for the 2015 calendar year Jan. 10 when it competes at the Tracy Borah Duals, hosted by Western State Colorado University in Gunnison, Colorado.

The Pack will pit their 2-0 record in duals this season against Grand Canyon University (10 a.m.), Air Force Academy (11:30 a.m.) and California Baptist University (1 p.m.).

CSU-Pueblo last competed in the event in 2013, going 1-2, which included a 23-12 victory versus Air Force.

The ThunderWolves will be on Mat 2 at Paul Wright Gym. Live stats will be available for all three matches. Links for live stats and the Tracy Borah Duals Headquarters can be found HERE.  

CSU-Pueblo left for break on a high note, defeating Western Wyoming Community College Dec. 13 in a road dual, 34-13. The victory was highlighted by pins from senior Eric Hughes (Bolivar, Mo.) at 133, junior Tim Urenda (Pueblo, Colo.) at 141, freshman JaCobi Jones (Omaha, Neb.) at 163 and sophomore Steven Ullman (Arvada, Colo.) at 197.


As a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Colorado State University – Pueblo competes in 22 varsity sports in NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics.
