PUEBLO, Colo. (January 9, 2016) – The Colorado State University-Pueblo wrestling team suffered two dual losses at the 26th Annual Tracy Borah Duals Saturday in Gunnison, Colo.
The Pack fell 41-6 to Air Force Academy in the first match of the day, then lost 31-24 to Simon Fraser University in the second bout of the day.
Junior heavyweight Jacob Mitchell (Portland, Ore.) pinned his opponent in two minutes in the loss to Simon Fraser, while sophomore JaCobi Jones (Omaha, Neb.) earned a second-period fall at five minutes.
Following Jones' pin the ThunderWolves led 18-12, but two forfeits and two match losses moved the score to 31-18 before Mitchell ended the trip for the Pack.
Next for CSU-Pueblo are the Midwest Duals Jan. 16 in Kearney, Nebraska. The ThunderWolves will have four duals, with the first beginning at 9 a.m. against host University of Nebraska-Kearney.
As a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Colorado State University – Pueblo competes in 22 varsity sports in NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics.
