NWAACC Standout Tasha Sawall Joins Pack

PUEBLO, Colo -  The ThunderWolves women's soccer team announced that Tasha Sawall, a sophomore midfielder from Southwestern Oregon Community College, has signed a letter of intent to attend CSU-Pueblo for the 2008-09 academic year.  Tasha was the Lakers' leading scorer with 7 goals and 4 assists in 2007, following up her freshman season where she tallied 9 goals and 6 assists as the Lakers advanced to the NWAACC  semi-finals.

Tasha aspires to teaching high school history and will be double-majoring in history and education at CSU-Pueblo.

"Tasha is a quick and skillful midfielder who can be effective at both ends of the field.  She has great vision and the ability to attack a defense on the dribble or with effective service.  Off the field, Tasha is a mature student who will contribute to the university, succeed in the classroom, and be a positive part of our team community as well," comments Dave Morris, coach of the defending RMAC finalist ThunderWolves.

The ThunderWolves are coming off a record setting season of their own, reaching the RMAC championship match, finishing in 2nd place in the RMAC during the regular season, setting school records for wins (14) and goals (50) in a season as well as earning the NSCAA's College Team Academic Award.
