Robin Hayes Earns All-American Honors
The awards keep coming for ThunderWolves soccer star Robin
Hayes. The RMAC Player of the Year today was named to the
Daktronics Division II Women' s Soccer All-American team today. She
was the only RMAC player to be recognized at the national level, as
a 3rd team All-American selection.
Hayes helped the ThunderWolves reach the RMAC Championship game
this fall, scoring a school record 25 goals and 6 assists for a
program high 56 points. The senior striker is currently ranked 8th
in NCAA Division II in goals per game and 10th in the country in
scoring average. She also holds the career marks for CSU-Pueblo
women's soccer, holding the records for most goals (50), points
(111), and game-winning goals (16).
"It's great for Robin and for our program to earn recognition at
the national level like this, certainly Robin deserves to be
recognized for a phenomenal senior season and a stellar career. She
is the type of player who makes the team better because of what she
can do on and off the field. Our entire team takes a lot of pride
in what we accomplished as a group this year and what Robin
accomplished as an individual," noted Coach Dave Morris.
