CSU-Pueblo women's soccer coach Dave Morris has announced that the soccer squad has added three new signees to the team's 2009 roster.

Joining the program are midfielder Caitlin Campisi (El Paso, Tex.), midfielder Jessa Cook (Idaho Falls, Idaho), and Hannah Paulson (Pueblo West, Colo.), a defender.

The ThunderWolves' 2009 recruiting class now stands at 13 new student-athletes.

Campisi, who prepped at El Paso's Hanks High School, signed with CSU-Pueblo after helping to lead Hanks into the UIL 5A playoffs.

"Caitlin Campisi is a great addition to our program," Morris said. "She is a good student and dynamic midfielder who can jump into the attack as well as defend. She helps lead the team on the field and is solid in the air. She's the kind of student-athlete we enjoy adding to our program."

Jessa Cook, most recently of Iowa Western Community College, played in the NJCAA Championship Game with IWCC as a freshman, and adds a dynamic presence as a wide midfielder and striker.  Cook plans to major in athletic training at CSU-Pueblo.

"Jessa is an exciting addition," Morris said. "She can play out wide, which is a huge benefit for us, and she's one of those women who just is immediately the right "fit" for our team and our athletic training program.  We look for her to have an immediate impact here."

Paulson, a local product from Pueblo West High School, becomes the third Pueblo-native on the CSU-Pueblo women's soccer roster, joining 2009 signee Morgan Purkey (Pueblo South) and 2007 RMAC Academic Player of the Year, Rikki Warmack (Jr., Pueblo, Colo.), a Centennial High School product.

"Hannah is a hard-working defender who knows our program inside and out from camps and clinics she has attended," Morris said.  :We're really flattered that she's going to join us and contribute here."
