Carver voted Convergys Player of the Week

The ThunderWolves weren't going to let a first year program in archrival UC-Colorado Springs score an upset Sunday. Thanks to senior Brittany Carver (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.), that didn't happen, scoring a game-winning goal that delivered the Pack win, as well as the honor of being voted the CSU-Pueblo/Convergys Player of the Week.
In the women's soccer team's only game last weekend, UC-Colorado Springs, which started their women's soccer program just this season, was holding a 1-0 lead over the Pack. After the ThunderWolves tied it 12 minutes later, taking a 1-1 tie into intermission, a big play was needed to break the deadlock.
Enter Carver, who stole a pass from the 20-yard-line and converted it into an unassisted goal, giving the ThunderWolves a 2-1 lead that wouldn't be relinquished and displaying senior leadership at its finest.
The win gave the Pack its second win in as many games, giving the team a 2-1 record in RMAC play.
Carver has had a splendid senior season thus far for the Pack, registering two goals as the ThunderWolves look to make a repeat trip to the RMAC Championship game. And the CSU-Pueblo/Convergys Player of the Week honor is another addition to her mantle of accomplishments.
