Pack jumps into NCAA Central Region rankings
The ThunderWolves women's soccer team earned the 10th spot in the NCAA Central Region Rankings, released today.
The Pack are currently in sixth place in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference with a 5-5-2 record, 7-7-2 overall, and will host 3rd-ranked Colorado School of Mines at 3:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon as the second half a double-header with the regionally ranked men's team.
The CSU-Pueblo men's soccer team was also ranked this week, coming in at third in the NCAA Central Region rankings. They are also ranked 25th in the nation in the National Soccer Coaches Association of America top 25.
The RMAC Women's Soccer Championships begin November 5th, with quarterfinal matches hosted by the 3rd and 4th place finishers. CSU-Pueblo has already clinched a berth in the tournament.
CSU-Pueblo can finish as high as 5th place, so this weekend's results will determine where the ThunderWolves travel. The RMAC semi-finals and finals will be held on the campus of the regular season champion on Fri., Nov. 7 and Sun., Nov. 9, respectively. Six teams from the Central Region will qualify for the NCAA Division II Championships, which begin on Nov. 14.
