ThunderWolves suffer rare loss to Adams St.
Adams State 3, CSU-Pueblo 1
CSU-Pueblo suffered a rare loss to Adams State Friday when the visiting Grizzlies knocked off the Pack 3-1 at the Rawlings Sports Complex.
The loss marks the Pack's first loss to Adams State since 2005 and just the second loss to the Grizzlies in school history.
Adams State only uncorked nine shots, but three made it through the net. The first came early, as Ashley Grover scored just 2:43 into the game. Thirteen minutes later, it was 2-0.
The Pack registered its only goal of the day late in the first half when Gabby Gonzales (So., Centennial, Colo.) scored her first goal of the season in the 28th minute.
But from then on, the Pack couldn't convert any chances. CSU-Pueblo outshot Adams State 15-9.
The ThunderWolves will continue its weekend Sunday when it hosts Mesa State at 1 p.m.
