PUEBLO, Colo. (August 31, 2016) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer team will begin the 2016 season with four nonconference home matches scheduled starting Thursday against Texas Woman's University at 7 p.m. at the Art & Lorraine Gonzales Soccer Stadium. The Pack will conclude the first weekend of action Saturday versus Midwestern State in a matinee match set for an 11 a.m. kickoff.
CSU-Pueblo returns several starters from a season ago and with nine seniors on the roster, the Pack will look to the veteran leadership in making a push in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.
Goalkeeper Alison Darr (Sr., Placerville, Calif.) returns at the net for 2016, Darr recorded 51 saves and earned a .810 save percentage. Seniors Megan Garcia (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) and Sandra Grimaldo (Sr., Mammoth Lakes, Calif.), along with junior Jessica Westhoff (Jr., Centennial, Colo.) each return after successful seasons that resulted in all-conference honors.
