LAKEWOOD, Colo. (September 30, 2016) - Senior forward Kacie Licata (Upland, Calif.) found the back of the net at 94:26 to hand the Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer team a 1-0 victory in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference contest at Colorado Christian University Friday.
The Pack (5-3-0, 2-2-0 RMAC) put six shots on goal, while goalkeeper Alison Darr (Sr., Placerville, Calif.) only had to make two CCU (5-4-0, 2-2-0 RMAC) saves in the defensive battle. The ThunderWolves have shutout their opponnent in four of the five victories this season.
CSU-Pueblo produced some offense four minutes into the first overtime session, as senior forward Laikyn Koss (Riverside, Calif.) had her shot blocked, but Licata was there to collect the rebound and place the ball in the lower left corner of the goal.
The goal was the second of the season for Licata. Darr moved to 4-3 in 2016.
The Pack totaled 11 shots and allowed six.
The ThunderWolves return home Oct. 2 after a 2-2 road trip to host No. 3 Colorado School of Mines beginning at 1 p.m. at the Art and Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
