KANSAS CITY, Mo. (October 11, 2016) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer team, currently on a five-game win streak has leaped its way in to the NSCAA South Central Region rankings coming in at No. 4 this week.
CSU-Pueblo (8-3, 5-2 RMAC) jumped three spots in the RMAC standings and sit in second place after sweeping a pair of home matches last week.
Colorado Mines enters as the top team in the region followed by St. Edward's University and Texas A&M University-Commerce and the Pack rounding out the top four slots.
Sunday, Rianna Lockhart (So., Colorado Springs, Colo.) scored for the first time this season in the final minute of the first half against MSU Denver and behind strong defensive play the ThunderWolves held the Roadrunners to seven shots in the game.
The Pack remains home this week when they welcome New Mexico Highlands to the Art & Lorraine Gonzales Soccer Stadium Sunday. Kickoff against the Cowgirls is set for 2:30 p.m. following the men's game.
