ThunderWolves welcome Highlands in RMAC tilt

PUEBLO, Colo. (October 15, 2016) – Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer, will put their five-game win streak on the line against New Mexico Highlands Sunday in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference match set for a 2:30 p.m. kickoff at the Art & Lorraine Gonzales Soccer Stadium following the men's match at noon against Westminster.

The Pack enters the weekend 6-1 at home and won the last six games at Gonzales Stadium.

CSU-Pueblo went unbeaten last week, defeating Regis 2-1 (Oct. 7) and MSU Denver 1-0 (Oct. 9). Against the Rangers Laikyn Koss (Sr., Riverside, Calif.) and Mariel Hundley (Sr., Las Vegas, Nev.) provided the goals for the Pack.

Sunday versus the Roadrunners Rianna Lockhart (R-So., Colorado Springs, Colo.) scored her second score of the season in the final minute of the first half before a strong defensive output in the second period shut the door on MSUD.

As a result of the 2-0 weekend record, the Pack leaped to fourth in the latest NSCAA South Central Regional Rankings.

After this week the Pack will have two home games remaining on the schedule. Friday, the Pack host Colorado Mesa at 7 p.m. on Parent's Night at the pitch. Sunday, Pack head coach Paul Regrutto and his staff will celebrate the departing seniors in a pregame ceremony ahead of their match against Westminster at noon, both matches at the Art & Lorraine Gonzales Soccer Stadium.
