COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (September 26, 2017) - For a second time this season Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer forward Mackenzie Bean (Jr., Bothell, Wash.) earned Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors after scoring her first career hat trick in leading the ThunderWolves to an 8-0 thrashing over Black Hills State Sunday at Art & Lorraine Gonzales Stadium.
Bean recorded seven points on three goals and one assist en route to the shutout of BHSU. She scored the first two goals of the contest in the 4th and 6th minute of play with only two minutes and twenty-one seconds in between scores.
Bean fired a game high five shots and three on goal to help CSU-Pueblo to its third straight win to open RMAC play.
The ThunderWolves' offense came alive in a big way against the Yellow Jackets as six different players tallied goals for the Pack.
Bean leads the league in goals/game (.714), points/game (1.57), and shots/game (3.57).
CSU-Pueblo (4-3, 3-0 RMAC) wrap its homestand Friday versus Colorado Christian at 4:30 p.m. at Gonzales Stadium. The Pack open a six-game road trip Sunday at Colorado Mines.
