CANYON, Tex. (November 29, 2017) - Colorado State University-Pueblo women's soccer junior Mackenzie Bean (Bothell, Wash.) earned another postseason award Wednesday, earning a spot on the United Soccer Coaches All-South Central Region Second Team.
Bean finished her first season with the Pack leading both the team and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference in total points (30) and total goals (14). She added two assists and fired 31 shots on goal.
Bean recorded six game-winning goals and was a perfect 1-for-1 on penalty kick tries.
She was named RMAC Player of the Year and earned first team accolades. Bean twice was named RMAC Offensive Player of the Week.
Bean also was named to the D2CCA All-South Central Region First Team. (MORE)
The ThunderWolves made a deep run into the RMAC Tournament and appeared in the RMAC Championship for a second straight year, falling 1-0 against University of Colorado Colorado Springs.
CSU-Pueblo ended the year at 10-8-1.
As a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, Colorado State University – Pueblo competes in 22 varsity sports in NCAA Division II intercollegiate athletics.
