Dave Morris
Head Coach
E-mail Coach Morris

Colorado State University-Pueblo head women's soccer coach, Dave Morris, took over the head job in June 2007 from the program's architect, Roy Stanley, who had decided to give up the reins of the women's team and focus solely on the men's program.

Though Morris brought with him a reputation as a coach that rarely experienced losing or mediocrity, having established himself as the top coach in the history of the University of Wisconsin-Stout, nobody expected what happened in 2007.

Morris caught lightning in a bottle with the 2007 ThunderWolves, guiding the Pack to their best record in school history, 14-5-2, and a berth in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Championship game.  Behind the program's first all-American in Robin Hayes, the 2007 team set standards in goals scored, assists and points.

Now comes the hard part - keeping it going.  By relying on his philosophy of focusing on team chemistry over all else, Morris will seek to guide the ThunderWolves women's soccer program into the upper stratosphere of the RMAC women's soccer world, as well as all of Division II.

Prior to coming to CSU-Pueblo, Morris spent the 2006-07 season as an assistant coach at Wisconsin-Green Bay. Morris was primarily responsible for the defense and goalkeepers for the Division I Fighting Phoenix, as the team posted an 8-7-2 record while limiting opponents to a 1.31 goals against average.

Prior to his stint at Wisconsin-Green Bay, Morris was the head coach at Division III Wisconsin-Stout. Morris led the Blue Devils over a seven-year campaign, improving the team's conference record in each successive year, never finishing below .500.

Morris also helped found the West Wisconsin Dynamo soccer club, where he fielded a team that recorded two state championships.

He also boasts coaching experience from Frostburg State (Md.), Rockville High School (Md.) and Damascus High School (Md.).

Morris received his bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan, and his Master's in sports management from Frostburg State.
