Pack women drop match with Mesa
Grand Junction, Colo. - No. 4 singles player Ashley Erickson
managed to get wins in both her singles and double match, the only
ThunderWolf player to do so, in a tough and hard-fought 6-3 loss to
Mesa State Sunday.
Erickson scored a victory in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, over Kelsey
Bottinelli before joining with Jessica Hardy to earn a close and
dramatic victory in their doubles match, winning 9-8 for the Pack's
only doubles victory of the day.
Unfortunately for the ThunderWolves, other match wins were few and
far between, as Mesa State took four of the six singles
matches.
Mesa State finished the fall season with a 5-1 record, one of its
best falls ever, while the Pack stood at 2-1 in fall play, getting
ready for the United State Air Force Academy Fall Invitational in
Colorado Springs next weekend.
