Women fall in Denver

The CSU-Pueblo women’s tennis team had a bad day at the office on Friday, losing a pair of matches to RMAC teams Metro State and Mesa State.

The women entered this season with more question marks than answers, and that seemed to be the theme of today’s action.  Newcomer Morgan Forsyth (Fr., Aurora, Colo.) showed some promise in her singles play, and Julie Wainwright (Sr., Aurora, Colo.) stepped up to the #1 singles position for the first time in collegiate play.

The women will look to improve their performances tomorrow when they play again in Denver before returning home for a week of training before venturing to their annual ITA tournament in the midwest.
