Pack secures RMAC win

DENVER, Colo. ( - March 23, 2012) - It looks like the ThunderWolves Women's Tennis team is starting to get into the swing of things. In a matchup finally aganist a RMAC foe, Colorado Christian, the Pack improved their play and defeated the Cougars, seven games to two. The Pack picked up a game from the fall matchup, which they won six game to three.

Three of the ThunderWolves picked up two wins in this rematch.  Brittani Trevithick (Fr., Pueblo, Colo.) fought off CCU's #4  in singles when she won 6-7 (1), 6-2,10-4.  Then she partnered with Nicole Pilot (Jr., Pueblo West, Colo.) to win at #1 doubles, 8-5.

Heather Guilliams (Fr., Brighton, Colo.) and Cindy Boughton (Sr., Pueblo, Colo.) added three more wins to the total, first by winning at the #3 doubles position and then each winning their singles matches.

Picking up the final points for the Pack were Kellie Manes (Jr., Pueblo Colo.) at the #2 singles spot and  Ciera Frankmore ( Jr., Pueblo West, Colo.) at #5 singles.

The ThunderWolves take to the courts again Saturday, March 24 when they face another RMAC opponent, Metro State. Play starts at 10 a.m. on the Auroria Campus of Metro State in Denver, Colo..
