ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (March 20, 2018) - The Colorado State University-Pueblo women's tennis team played Division I University of New Mexico Tuesday and fell to the Lobos by the score of 6-1.
Senior Samantha Cachutt (Caracas, Venezuela) gathered the lone win for the ThunderWolves, as she won in straight sets at No. 6 singles. Cachutt won 6-1 in set one, then took set two by the score of 6-4. She was the only one to win a set against the Division I foe.
The Pack conclude the home portion of their schedule March 23-24. Friday, CSU-Pueblo men and women play host to Midwestern State Univeristy beginning at 9 a.m. at Pueblo City Park. The women then play Angelo State University at 3 p.m. Saturday, both ThunderWolves squads will wrap the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference home schedule with rival Colorado Mesa University at 10 a.m.
On Friday, Pack Tennis invites the campus and Pueblo commminity to join them at the Pack Party in the Park. Simple Simon's will have pizza, wings, personal calzones, and Pepsi products for sale from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. with 10% of sales going back to Pack Tennis. There will be music, food, tennis, and more.
