ThunderWolves' sprinters, jumpers shine at CSU
Led by sprinter DeVen Hamlet (Fr., Denver, Colo.) and jumper Danita Wyatt (Fr., Denver, Colo.), CSU-Pueblo turned in an 11th place performance against largely Division I teams at the Jack Christiansen Invitational, held at Colorado State University Saturday.
Hamlet was 6th in the 100-meter and 9th in the 200-meter, and contributed to a 4th place performance by the ThunderWolves' 4x100 relay team, running the final leg. Wyatt ran the third leg of the Pack's 4x100 team, and placed 7th in the long jump.
As a team, CSU-Pueblo accumulated 18 points, good enough for 11th place. Of the six RMAC teams at the meet, CSU-Pueblo finished 5th.
