RMAC Championships kick off with heptathlon

ALAMOSA, Colo. - The 2009 RMAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships kicked off Sunday with the women's heptathlon event, as Pack hepthathlete Lori McGrath (Fr., Pueblo West, Colo.) found herself in 10th place after four events were completed.

McGrath turned in an 11th place finish in the hurdles, a strong sixth place in the high jump, an 11th place in the 200-meter dash, and a 12th place finish in the shot put.

Through a handful of events, CSU-Pueblo has not scored any team points, and is currently tied for sixth place as a team with 0 points.  Adams State is leading with 26 points.

Monday, the heptathlon will conclude with the 800-meter run, the long jump and the javelin throw.

Monday will also mark the beginning of the track and field event portion of the meet.  The meet will run through Tuesday.
