NEW ORLEANS, La. (GoThunderWolves.com - Jan. 25, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo weighed in at a ranking of 7th in the first United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA), the USTFCCCA announced Tuesday.
Of the five RMAC schools ranked in the Central Region's top ten, the ThunderWolves are third, only behind Chadron State and Nebraska-Kearney. The Pack edged out Adams State and Western State in the rankings.
The ranking marks the Pack's highest regional standing since the program's return in 2008-09. It also hints at a potential national top 25 ranking with a few more national-qualifying marks in the coming weeks.
