Wyatt, Willis earn all-region honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. (GoThunderWolves.com - May 17, 2011) - CSU-Pueblo's Danita Wyatt and Shilay Willis have earned all-region honors, the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches' Association (USTFCCCA) announced Tuesday.

Wyatt earned two all-region honors, being selected for her performances this season in the triple jump, which she is ranked sixth in the nation, and the heptathlon.  Willis was selected for the 400-meter dash, for which she is ranked 14th nationally.

The top five from each region in individual events and each member of a relay ranked in the region's top three have earned the All-Region distinction for the 2011 outdoor season.

A total of 1,250 athletes receive 1,838 all-region nods in the inaugural outdoor class.
