Wyatt posts two second place finishes at Air Force Relays
USAFA, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - April 7, 2012) - CSU-Pueblo senior jumper Danita Wyatt (Sr., Aurora, Colo.) took a pair of second place finishes in the triple jump and long jump, headlining the Pack's appearance at the Air Force Relays.
Wyatt finished tied for first in the long jump with a leap of 18 feet, 2-1/4 inches, tied with Northern Colorado's Natasha Buruins. In the triple jump, she provisionally qualified for nationals with a jump 39 feet, 9-1/4 inches. It marked the second time this outdoor season she has qualified provisionally in the triple jump.
Holli Salazar (Jr., Hayden, Colo.) also was strong, finishing 5th in the hammer and 9th in the javelin.
The ThunderWolves will return home next weekend for the CSU-Pueblo Invitational and Combined Events meet, spanning from Thursday through Saturday.
