Wyatt claims RMAC Field Athlete of the Week honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - April 18, 2012) - Fresh off an automatically-qualifying triple jump at the CSU-Pueblo Invitational last week, Danita Wyatt (Sr., Aurora, Colo.) was named the RMAC's Field Athlete of the Week Wednesday.

Wyatt recorded her first career outdoor NCAA automatic qualifying mark this past weekend at the CSUP Combined and Invitational meet. She posted a first place mark of 12.52 meters in the triple jump. The leap ranks her third nationally.

Wyatt also won the long jump (5.50 meters), and finished third in the heptathlon (3,985) and ran on the third place 4x100 relay team (49.98).

This week, Wyatt is competing at the Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, Calif.
