DENVER, Colo. - A wildly effective performance by the Regis front line undid the Pack's winning streak before it even got a chance to begin as the Rangers upended the Pack three sets to none Friday.
Led by Liz Franz, who led all attackers with 13 kills and an unreal .588 attack percentage, the Rangers cruised to victory by a 25-18, 25-20, 25-13 advantage.
Regis was also tough defensively, executing seven team blocks and forcing the ThunderWolves into errors. The Pack's attack was inconsistent, turning in 23 attack errors for a lackluster attack percentage of .074. The Pack's most effective attacker, Bernadette Pitre (Fr., Clifton, Colo.), led the team with eight kills.
The loss drops the Pack's record to 3-14 overall and 1-8 in RMAC play.
The ThunderWolves continue their road trip Saturday night with a visit to Metro State.
