COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The CSU-Pueblo volleyball team hopes preaseason prognostications are painfully wrong, as the ThunderWolves were selected to finish 11th in the RMAC according the RMAC coaches' preseason poll, released Monday.

No ThunderWolves received preseason all-RMAC consideration.

The ThunderWolves return 11 players from last season's freshman-rich team, and are without a senior on their roster in 2009.  The Pack roster consists of two juniors, seven sophomores and seven juniors.

"The poll isn't surprising, as we are young team that hasn't yet proven ourselves on the court," Pack coach Chris Jonson said.  "But this team has the talent and mentality to be the most improved team in the RMAC this season, and we can prove it to the rest of the conference by reaching our goal of qualifying for the RMAC playoffs."

The ThunderWolves kick off their season Aug. 28 at the UC-Colorado Springs tournament.
