COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (GoThunderWolves.com - Oct. 20, 2010) - CSU-Pueblo junior middle blocker, Ashley Wilkinson (Jr., Colorado Springs, Colo.), became the ThunderWolves' first ever first-team Academic All-Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference selection, the RMAC announced Wednesday.

Wilkinson, a nursing major at CSU-Pueblo who balances a 3.97 GPA with her role as the most efficient attacker on the Pack volleyball team, was one of seven student-athletes in the RMAC to gain first-team Academic All-RMAC status.  She is ranked sixth in the RMAC with a .301 attack percentage.

Since the RMAC began selecting first-team and second-team Academic All-RMAC squads in 2007, Wilkinson was the first ThunderWolf to earn first-team or second-team distinction.

She headlined a group of three ThunderWolves on the RMAC's academic team, joining "Academic Honor Roll" selections, Alea Wildman (Jr., Denver, Colo.) and Lindsay Tapia (RSo., Pueblo, Colo.).

To qualify for Academic All-RMAC, student-athletes must have a grade point average of 3.30 or better, be a starter or reserve, and completed two consecutive semesters or three quarters at their current institution. Their cumulative G.P.A. is what they had earned prior to the volleyball season beginning.
